Conducting 2D/3D seismic survey for Hydrocarbon Exploration
The seismic survey is done by blasting explosives in shallow shot holes drilled along the Surveyed lines at a regular (group) interval varying normally from 10 to 50 meters. The elastic waves generated are reflected back from different subsurface layers to the surface of the earth. These reflected waves are received by sensors called Geophones/Sensors planted on the surface which convert the mechanical energy into electrical energy. This electrical energy from different geophones is transmitted to the Seismic Recording Instrument through seismic cables where they are recorded on magnetic tapes /cartridges. The data recorded on the tapes/cartridges are processed at the Computer Centre. The interpretation of the data results in a cross-section showing the disposition of the subsurface geological formations at various depths.
2 D Seismic Survey is carried out with receivers (geophone groups or single sensors) and shots placed is a straight line whereas, in a 3D Seismic Survey, the receivers (geophone groups or single sensor) are spread/placed along more than one line and shot lines are parallel/ orthogonal to the receiver lines.
Operators intend to get the seismic job services (camp mobilization & demobilization, camp establishment & maintenance, topographic surveying, cable laying, plantation of geophones/Sensors, Up-hole survey, and shooting, etc) and shot hole drilling is done at regular intervals ranging from 40-400 meters and of depth varying from 15 meters to 50 meters.
CONTRACTOR shall provide the required seismic job services and shot hole drilling services on all working days as per the work program.
Micro-Seismic Survey
MicroSeismic, the survey provides real-time monitoring and mapping of hydraulic fracture operations for the development of unconventional oil and gas plays. It is monitoring microseismic activity utilizing surface and near-surface arrays
We have to lay down the ground electronics as per the program given by the experts and monitored round the clock the spread. At the time of fracturing the recording starts and we have to ready all time to immediately wake-up the lines and record the data. It takes about 20-30 days for complete operation time.
